Donald F. Wiltz, age 81, of Cleveland, MO died May 16, 2010 at Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg, MO. He was born December 22, 1928 at Sabetha, KS the son of William and Susan Minnie (Dix) Wiltz. He was united in marriage to Vesta June Swearingen on May 4, 1951 at Savannah, MO. She preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1986. He later married Leona Vanwinkle. Donald worked for the Missouri Highway Department for 37 years as a maintenance foreman before retiring in 1990. He served in the United States Army for 2 years in Germany during the Korean War as a medic. He enjoyed camping, fishing and working on the farm and was a member of the American Legion Post #371, Urich, MO. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, (infant) Lila Wiltz and Opal Polsgrove and 1 brother Lewis Wiltz. Survivors include his wife Leona, of 18 years, Son, Roger F. Wiltz, Westline, MO; 2 brothers, Clarence Wiltz & wife Helen, Urich, MO and Leroy Wiltz, Maryville, MO; brother-in-law Charles Postgrove, Amazonia, MO, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Penwell Gabel Louisburg Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 " 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, MO.
