Don W. Damman, 77, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, peacefully at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to services.
Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamsburg, Kansas.
Don was born Saturday, November 16, 1946, in Beloit, Wisconsin, the son of Donald Arthur and Doris Irene (Bonaunet) Damman.
He lived in Parkville, Missouri before moving to Williamsburg, Kansas in 1994,
Don graduated from high school in Beloit, Wisconsin, and attended trade school for welding at Racine, Wisconsin.
He was united in marriage on March 17, 1976, in Miami, Oklahoma to Jonnie Kay Kendall, she survives of the home.
Don was a self-employed welder from the mid-1960s until he retired in 2008. After retiring, he started antique furniture repair and restoration caning chairs.
He loved hunting, fishing, traveling, helping his friends when he was able, but he especially loved his family and grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Doris.
Along with his wife Jonnie, survivors include two daughters and a son with his first marriage; two daughters Wendy Kay Damman of Topeka, Kansas and Tracy Williams (Greg) of Overbrook, Kansas from his marriage with Jonnie; brothers Martin Damman (Jeani) and Gary Damman (Silvia) both of Wisconsin; sister Barbara Beeler also of Wisconsin; three grandchildren Cesar Damman, Allyson Williams and Easton Williams; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County 4-H Foundation c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
