Dolores Ann Bowley

Dolores Ann Bowley was born May 8, 1932, at Greeley, Kansas. She was the daughter of Hubert A. and Anna M. (Burns) Peine. Dolores lived in the Kansas City, Princeton and Richmond areas, moving to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas in September of 1994, where she made her home until her death Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at the age of sixty-nine years. Dolores graduated from Richmond High School with the class of 1951. She was a lifelong homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked as a waitress. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa and former member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Richmond. Dolores enjoyed watching old movies on T.V. and working crossword puzzles. Her main enjoyment, however, was visiting with her friends at Cedar Square. In June of 1953, Dolores was united in marriage with Richard Bowley at Kansas City, Missouri. He resides in Texas. Also, surviving are five sons, Richard Bowley and his wife, Lois, of Mindenmine, Mo., Glen Bowley of Hannibal, Mo., Gary Bowley and his wife, Janice, of Kansas City, Ks., Mark Vig and his wife, Bridget, of Syracuse, Mo., Thomas Bowley and his wife, Teresa, of Pinellas Park, Fl.; two daughters, Geraldine 'Gerry' Aravelo and her husband, Pablo, of Carson City, Nv., Linda Howard and her husband, Randy, of Carson City, Nv.; two sisters, Irene Bellefeuille of Orlando, Fl., Ernestine Ledom and her husband, Howard, of Ottawa; fourteen grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, James Bowley; and brother, Nicholas Peine. SERVICES: A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2002, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ottawa. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Fr. Stephen Beseau.
