Dixie G. Leslie

September 12, 1924 — February 10, 2012

Dixie was born on Sept. 12, 1924 in LosAngeles, California to Kerber and Zona Flick Gibbs. In 1956 she was united in marriage to Jack Leslie in Las Vegas, Nevada. During WWII Dixie worked as a Nurses Aide then for Ryan Aircraft as a machine operator then settled into raising her family and returning to civil service once her cheldren began lives of their own. She grew up in California and later moved to Fallon, Nevada where she remained for over 40 years prior to moving to Fontana, Kansas in 2003 with her husband. Dixie enjoyed traveling with her husband going to Europe and through out the United States in their RV. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing with family and friends. She was very active in the Republican Women"s Association in Fallon, Nevada for over 15 years. Towards the end of her life she was still following politics and could hold her own on discussions over political views. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sons Mark Patrick Wooley, Kevin Charles Leslie and one brother James Keith Gibbs. Surviving is her husband Jack Leslie of the home in Fontana, sons, Michael Doyle Wooley of Sacramento, California, Dennis Lane Wooley of Reno, Nevada, and James Keith Leslie of Jacksonville Florida, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grand children and 1 great great grand child. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
