Diana K. Anderson

Diana Kay Anderson, age 66, of Osawatomie, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Post Acute Medical Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Stanton Cemetery, rural Miami County, Kansas. Contributions in memory of Diana are to the Kidney Foundation and can be sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 605 O'Neal Avenue, Osawatomie, KS, 66064. Diana was born Tuesday, July 29, 1952, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Donald Lee and Mary (Killion) Walters. She graduated from Olathe North High School. She was united in marriage to Richard Conley Anderson April 12, 1976, in Olathe, Kansas. They made their home in Edgerton, Kansas. They raised three children together. In 1993, they moved to Osawatomie. She worked as a certified nurse's aide for many years at Bedford Manor, Gardner, Kansas. After moving to Osawatomie, she worked at Lakemary in Paola. Diana enjoyed going to the casinos, garage sales, playing poker, and even was quite a pool shark in her younger years. But her favorite pastime was the time she spent with her family. Survivors include her husband Richard of the home; daughter Deanna Anderson (Codie Edmundson) of Osawatomie; two sons Jamie Anderson of Paola and Steven (Angie) Anderson of Osawatomie; 7 grandchildren Kylee, Paul, Skye, Richard II, Jamey, Lennox, and Shelby Anderson; four sisters Sharon Jones of Olathe, Lori Walters of Olathe, Nancy Weers of Parker, and Vicki Walters of Kansas; and four brothers Curtis Walters of Olathe, Dennis Walters of Springfield, MO; Ernie Walters of Kansas City, KS; and Dean Walters of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Mary Walters, her daughter Delores Walters, and two brothers David and Larry Walters.
