Dennis Burkhart

Dennis Ray Burkhart, Burky to his friends, 64, of Paola Kansas, passed away early June 15,2015 surrounded by his family. He was the youngest child of two of Walter and Thelma (Cauldwell) Burkhart. Dennis was born July 24,1950, in Eureka Kansas. At age 11 Dennis and his family moved to Paola. Dennis graduated from Paola High School in 1969. Dennis worked most of his life in the automotive industry. He worked at Minden's Garage in Paola on and off the majority of his life. He also worked for his brother, Walter Burkhart, at WEB Construction. Dennis had many friends and family and always enjoyed a good time. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, working in the garage, and many other things. Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Walter E. Burkhart Sr. and his brother, Walter E. Burkhart Jr. Survivors include his mother Thelma "Jean" (Cauldwell) Burkhart of Paola, his sister in law, Lynette Burkhart, his daughter, Jennifer Burkhart of Osawatomie, his grandchildren, Paul and Caitlin Morin of Paola, KateLynn Ray Morin of Centerville, Stephen Hoffman and Diana Hoffman of Osawatomie, and his great-grandchildren, Abigail Morin and Paislee Ray Morin of Paola.
