Delores Mae Humphrey

Delores Mae Humphrey, age 76, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Friday, July 10, 2009. She was born on Sunday, October 9, 1932, in Indianola, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Hiram and Vida (Bernadine) Musgrave. She has been a resident of Ottawa since 2006, moving from Exeter, New Hampshire. Delores graduated from Indianola High School with the class of 1948. She attended a community college in Nebraska for two years. She taught rural Kansas and Nebraska one-room school houses; was a homemaker; clerk in the drafting department at the Seabrook Station Nuclear Power Plant in New Hampshire; and was also employed by Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant in Burlington, Kansas, retiring in 1998. On January 31, 1951, Delores was united in marriage with Phillip J. Vontz in Indianola, Nebraska. They were later divorced. On June 30, 1979, Delores was united in marriage with Thomas W. Humphrey in Kennewick, Washington. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2004. Vontz of New Hampshire Daughter-Brenda West & her husband, David, of VA Daughter of the heart-Amy Vontz of NH Brother-Ronald Musgrave & his wife, Barb, of CO Brother-Roger Musgrave & his wife, Barb, of McCook, NE Brother-Donald Musgrave & his wife, Myrna, of Indianola, NE Brother-Gary Musgrave & his wife, Jonell, of CO Grandchildren-Fourteen Gt.Grandchildren-Many She was preceded in detah by: Husband-Thomas W. Humphrey Father-Hiram Musgrave Mother-Vida (Bernadine) Musgrave Infant Sister-Agnes Musgrave SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009. Cremation will follow. Family and friends will meet at the Dengel & Son Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. Friday, prior to the Services.
