Delma Dorine Ware was born on Thursday, September 5, 1912, in Centerville, Kansas. She was the daughter of John Burton 'J.B.' McMillin and Ethel (McCrabb) McMillin. Delma lived in the Linn and Anderson County areas until moving to Franklin County in 1942 and Ottawa in 1955. She moved to Augusta, Kansas in 2003, where she made her home until her death on Friday, April 14, 2006, at the age of ninety-three years. She attended schools in Linn and Anderson Counties. Delma was a homemaker, also helping her husband on their farm. She also worked as a cook at Crestview Nursing Home in Ottawa and AOTT Sorority Hall in Lawrence, Kansas. She worked at Ransom Memorial Hospital as a dietary aide, retiring in 1974. She and her husband, Earl, were avid members of the Good Sams' Camping Club, traveling all over the United States. Delma preferred to be outdoors. She loved traveling and camping and caring for her yard and flower gardens. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed creating beautiful embroidered items and quilts for her grandchildren. On January 15, 1930, Delma was united in marriage with Alfred
