Deedee, as she was known to those closest to her, was a beloved spouse, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt (Damon's favorite), and friend. She was a huge John Wayne fan and throughout life’s ups and downs she would often find inspiration in his famous quote, “Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway”. She was known for her razor-sharp wit, her instantly recognizable laugh, and warm hugs. Deedee was an avid reader, loved visiting the beach, eating seafood, and being surrounded by her family and friends. Words cannot express the impact she had on those around her. Deedee's love and laughter will continue on in the hearts of those she touched. Per Deedee’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
