Dee Ana Greving

Dee Ana Greving, age 59, of Louisburg, KS., died September 13, 2008 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, KS. She was born January 15, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Julian George and Georgia M. Brown DeVrieze. Dee Ana moved to Louisburg in 1956 and graduated from Louisburg High School with the class of 1967. She met her soul mate Thomas Greving in 1981, and they were united in marriage on March 1, 1991. Dee Ana loved spending time in her home with her husband, family, her dogs and enjoyed gardening. She was a wonderful mom and grandma to her 4 children and 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She never met a stranger and if you were blessed to have met her, you would have a friend for life. She was preceded in death by her father, Julian "Shorty" Devrieze. Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Greving, of the home; 3 daughters, Kellie Joeckel & Heather Sturm, Drexel, Mo.; Niki Greving & partner Troy Myers, Ottawa, Ks.; 1 son, Chris Zurn & wife Shawna, Adrian, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Shelby Joeckel, Jada & Hunter Sturm, Matt, Tanner & Jenny Myers; 4 great grandchildren, Shane, Traten, Laynee her mother Georgia DeVrieze, and 1 brother, Dennis DeVrieze both of Paola, Ks. Visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday with the memorial service being at 7:00 p.m. at Penwell - Gabel Louisburg Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation c/o Penwell Gabel Funeral Home.
