Deborah Elizabeth Longtin, 63, of Hinesville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in Savannah, Georgia. Family will meet with friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the mortuary. Interment Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Kansas. Deborah was born February 4, 1956 in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Thomas Edward and Delma Lee (Herbert) Carey. She lived many years in the Lansing/Leavenworth, Kansas area moving to Germany and then many locations during her husband’s military service. In 1991, Deborah moved to Hinesville where she lived until her death. She graduated from Lansing High School with the class of 1974. Deborah was united in marriage to Jeffrey J. Longtin March 14, 1988, in Leavenworth, Kansas. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Ryan Dodd and wife Joyce of Atchison; brother, Steve Carey of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Alyssa Pickman and husband Nathan of St. Joseph, Missouri, Deven Holmes and wife Quinn of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mason Wilbur of San Diego, California; and great grandson, Dexter Holmes of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents. Deborah worked as a salesclerk for over 20 years in a retail jewelry store, retiring in 2017. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hinesville. Deborah loved to travel, shop and go to the beach. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
