Debera Kay “Debbie” Gamblian, 68, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at Olathe Health Hospice House. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 25, 2019 at Janesville Cemetery, Hamilton, Kansas. Debbie was born February 7, 1951, in Eureka, Kansas, the daughter of Harry and Mary Colleen (McCleary) Sherman. She graduated from Eureka High School with the class of 1969. Debbie was united in marriage to James Gamblian April 18, 1969, in Eureka. He survives of the home. She lived in Oologah, Oklahoma for 8 years, moving to Ottawa in 1983. Other survivors include two children, Benjamin James Gamblian of Leoti, and Angela Kay Huske of Topeka; two siblings, Randy Ray Sherman of Towanda, and Brenda Darlene Lingo of Neal; two granddaughters, Kaylee and Alexis Huske of Topeka; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, step-father, William Grove, and mother. She was a devoted homemaker and owned and operated Country Spice Gifts & Crafts in the 1980s in Ottawa. She was a paraprofessional at West Franklin/Pomona, for 12 years, in the 1990s to 2000s. Debbie was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was known by all to be an excellent cook. Debbie loved fishing, flower gardening, going to the casino and above all, spending time with her family.
