David was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident. He graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1931. David was employed by Skyhook of Ottawa, with over thirty years in assembly and seven or eight years as plant supervisor, retiring in 1976. After his retirement, he occassionally worked part-time for Skyhook. Prior to his employment at Skyhook, he worked for Bennett`s Creamery and Fogle Quarry, both in Ottawa. David served in the United States Navy, during World War II, from December 22, 1943, until November 24, 1945, achieving the rank of Electrician`s Mate Second Class. He served on the USS Guam. He was a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church; Warren Black Post #60, American Legion; and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5901. On April 18, 1935, David was united in marriage with Ethel Mae Heinis at Chanute, Kansas. They were later divorced. She passed away in 1992. SERVICES: No services are planned.
