David R. Blake

David R. Blake, 73, of Stilwell, Ks died July 29, 2012 at his home. He was born July 11, 1939 at Neosho, MO, the son of Earl Ray and Eleanor (Staatz) Blake. He was united in marriage to Donna Ruth Cohee on June 17, 1966 at the Methodist Church in Neosho, MO. David worked for Coca Cola Enterprises for 34 1/2 years before retiring. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 through 1965. He graduated from Granby High School and served as FFA secretary from 1955 through 1956. He was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. David was a Jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Brian Jeffrey Blake. Survivors include his wife, Donna Ruth Blake, of the home; one son, David H.E. Blake, Stilwell, KS; one brother, Dennis Earl Blake, Fayetteville, AR and many nieces and nephews. The family suggest contributions be given to American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association or American Dialysis Association.
