David Orson Routh, age 60, of Wellsville, Kansas, died Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kansas. He was born on Monday, April 4, 1949, in Ft. Scott, Kansas. He was the son of Isaac N. and Edith M. (Richards) Routh. The last two years, David lived in LeLoup, moving from Lawrence, where he had lived since 1970. David graduated from Topeka High School with the class of 1967 and attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City, Missouri. Following his military service, David was a lifelong chef, working in the Paradise Café in Lawrence in the 1990’s. He served in the United States Army from December of 1967 to September of 1970, during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Private. He is survived by his Sister-Patricia Routh of LeLoup, Kansas; Nieces & Nephews-Several He is preceded in death by his: Father-Isaac N. Routh; Mother-Edith M. (Richards) Routh; Sister-Judith Wilson; Brother-James Routh-Wenger. SERVICES: Mr. Routh has been cremated. Graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
