David Michael Chaney

David Michael Chaney, age 72, of Louisburg, KS, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at North Point Skilled Nursing in Paola.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022 at Dengel and Son Mortuary Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive Louisburg, KS 66053.

David was born on Tuesday, June 13, 1950, in Kansas City, KS. He was the son of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Gray) Chaney.

David was known for his comedic personality and quick wit. He always had a funny comeback and loved to make people laugh.

David was an outdoorsman at heart. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and even worked as a hunting guide for a few seasons. He was also a talented mechanic, HVAC technician, and sheet metal worker.

David is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Marjorie Helen Chaney, and his sister Sherryl Kranker.

He is survived by his brother Daniel Chaney, two children Michelle (Mark) Peery and Dawnielle (David) Picco, and five grandchildren.
