David L. Bischoff, Sr.

David L. Bischoff, Sr., 77, of Williamsburg, Kansas, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Olathe Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 4, 2016, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Family will meet with friend from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the mortuary. Interment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa. David was born Saturday, June 17, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Truyn and Marguerite (Canfield) Bischoff. He lived in Kansas City, Kansas, since the early 1960s, moving to Williamsburg in 1994. He graduated from Williamsburg High School with the class of 1957. David served in the United States Army and was discharged in 1964. David was united in marriage with Margaret Elder December 11, 1961, in Ottawa. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his five children, Sandra Stark of Kansas City, Kansas, Nancy Delgado and husband Christopher of Edgerton, Debbie Brozanic and husband George of Kansas City, Kansas, David Bischoff, Jr. of Edgerton, and Peggy Walcott and husband Aubry of Basehor; brother, Truyn Bischoff, Jr. and wife Linda of Williamsburg; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bischoff; fifteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truyn and Marguerite Bischoff; two sisters, Mary Elder and Cathy Stambaugh; and brother, Marvin Bischoff. David was a lifelong crop farmer. He was also employed with Owens Corning Fiberglass in Kansas City, Kansas, in production planning for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Power of the Past Antique Engine & Tractor Association and the Moose Lodge Kansas City, Kansas, No. 1999. David loved family gatherings and time spent with his grandchildren.
