David E. Lowe

David E. Lowe, 53, of Wellsville, Kansas, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Olathe Hospice House. Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016, at the Wellsville Baptist Family Life Center. David was born Saturday, March 9, 1963 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Eugene Vincent and Lela Marie (Moore) Lowe. He lived in Stanley, Kansas, from 1963 to 1973, and at the age of 10 moved to Wellsville, where he made his home until his death. He graduated from Wellsville High School. David was united in marriage to Denise Lynne Kerr October 22, 1982, in Wellsville. She survives of their home. Other survivors include his four children, Tim Lowe of Ottawa, Derick Lowe of Wellsville, Brittany Lowe of Wellsville, and Nick Lowe also of Wellsville; nine siblings, Robert Lowe of Edgerton, Larry Lowe of Saguache, Colorado, Ronald Lowe of Fort Myers, Florida, Dannie Lowe of Edgerton, Margaret Brumbaugh of Olathe, Suellyn Stone of Belton, Missouri, Dee Anna Dornes of Waverly, Cheryl Swisher of Salem, Oregon, and Gina Hall of Lawrence; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lela Marie and Eugene Vincent Lowe; and two brothers, Bill and Jim Lowe. He was a member of the Wellsville Baptist Church. David was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He deeply loved his family and his favorite activities always centered on spending time with them. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, softball, fishing, and building different projects.
