David "Duane" Scott, 63, passed away at home with family on Monday, November 20, 2017. Duane was born November 10, 1954 in Buffalo, Missouri to Lynn & Vera (Linton) Scott. He lived most of his life in Louisburg, KS where he graduated high school in 1972. Duane was self-employed in the construction business. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, scuba diving and hunting with his friends. He was an avid sports fan who loved and supported his Jayhawks. He was always looking forward to the annual Kreiser Krawfish party and boiling those mud bugs for all of his friends and family. Duane is survived by his wife, Daleen (Upchurch) Scott, daughter, Carmen Detherage, son’s, Christopher Scott and Corey Scott, and granddaughter Jordan Detherage. Additional family members include Step Father, Wayne Scott, Overland Park, KS, Brother’s, Jim Scott (Kelly) Kansas City, MO and Terry Scott (Doreen) Omaha, NE, Sister’s, Diane Jordan of Joplin, MO, Dina Kircher (Dennis) Louisburg, KS, Chrissy Leonard Lawrence, KS, Mother-in-law, Joan Upchurch Clinton, OK, Brother-in-law, Greg Holcomb, Dallas, TX, Sister-in-laws, Kim Threadgill (Kevin) Thomas, OK, Amy Hatter (Darren) Clinton, OK, As well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Duane is preceded in death by his parents, Lynn and Vera Scott. Paternal grandparents Elmer and Esther Scott. Maternal grandparents, Frank and Ruby Linton. Father-in-law, Dale Upchurch. Stepmother, Jeannie Scott. Brother-in-law Rick Jordan. A celebration of life will be held Friday November 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Timbercreek Event Center, 14 E Amity, Louisburg, KS 66053.
