Darren L. Green, age 44 of Ottawa, Kansas, died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, KS. He was born on Monday, February 15, 1965 in Ottawa, KS, the son of Vernon Lee Green and Diane V. (Elbs) Green. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Darren attended Ottawa High School with the class of 1983. He worked most of his adult life as a drywall hanger for Kendall Drywall of De Soto, Ks. He previously worked for Fashion Inc. of Ottawa. In 2007 he retired due health reasons. Darren was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Ottawa. He was a devoted father and cherished the time spent with his daughters. He is survived by his: Daughter - Alex Green of Melvern, KS. Daughter – Sarah Green of Melvern, KS. Brother - Eric Green of Ottawa Uncle – Phillip Elbs of St. Petersburg, Fl. Aunt – Linda DeCock and her husband Alfred of Ottawa Aunt – Marilyn Anderson and her husband Gary of Lawrence, KS. Aunt – Cheryl Ward and her husband Roger of Ottawa Aunt – Patty Yeager of Ottawa Aunt - Nancy Ledom of Lubbock, TX. Aunt – Terry Moody of Ottawa Maternal Grandmother – Delores Cox of Wellsville, KS He was preceded in death by: Mother-Diane V. Green Father-Vernon Lee Green SERVICES: The family will meet with friends 5-6 Wednesday evening, November 25th at Dengel & Son Mortuary. CEMETERY: Cremation is planned and inurnment will take place at Highland Cemetery at a later date.
