Darliene L. Toumayan

Darliene Louise Toumayan, 82, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018, at Ransom Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private family inurnment later at Roselawn Cemetery, Ottawa. Darliene was born May 5, 1936, in Ottawa, the daughter of Jeffery and Alice (Farmer) Hopkins. She lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for many years, Torrence, California 7 years, and Kincaid, Kansas 12 years. In 2003, Darliene moved back to Ottawa where she made her home until her death. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1954. Darliene was married to Warren D. Hay in 1954, in Ottawa. They later divorced. Darliene was united in marriage to Edward Toumayan November 28, 1969, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He survives of the home. Other survivors include their five children, Byron Hay and wife Sherry of North Richland Hills, Texas, Brenda Brown and husband James of Valley View, Texas, Geoffery Toumayan of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Becci Olson and husband Jon of Sussex, Wisconsin, and Barbara Pluhar and husband Brian of Pendleton, Indiana; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. Darliene was employed as a human resource specialist for most of her working years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of the Advancers Club while living in Kincaid, Kansas. Darliene enjoyed drawing, craftwork, singing and spending time with her friends and family. She especially loved the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to Franklin County Cancer Foundation c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
