He lived in Hickman Mills, Missouri, moving to Ottawa in 1978. Dan graduated from Belton (Missouri) High School with the class of 1963, and University of Missouri, Kansas City, in 1972, with a Bachelor of Science and Chemistry Degree. From 1972 to 1973, he was employed by Beckman Medical Instruments, Kansas City, Missouri. From 1973 to 1978, he was vice president of Home Office Reference Laboratories in Lenexa, Kansas. From 1978 to 1982, he owned and operated Carey Mechanical in Ottawa, and from 1982 to 1985, he was vice president for Clinical Reference Laboratories in Lenexa, Kansas. In 1986, he formed Bioquest, a research and development company. Most recently, he developed an immuno-stimulant for the human and animal health industries. He was a member of Hickman Mills (Missouri) Community Christian Church, and former member of First Baptist Church of Belton, Missouri. On October 10, 1964, Dan was united in marriage with Laura Frazier at Grandview, Missouri. She survives of Ottawa. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, 2005, with a family visitation at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. OFFICIATING CLERGY: Pastor Don Cunningham. CEMETERY: Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 17, 2005, at Hope Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
