Daniel Bernard 'Danny' Sunday was born September 2, 1984, at Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Gary Lee Sunday, Jr. and Susan A. Sunday. Daniel lived in Lyndon, moving to Pomona, where he lived for four years. He moved to Ottawa, in Franklin County, Kansas, in 2003, where he made his home, until his death Friday, April 23, 2004, at the age of nineteen years. He worked in residential construction. For the last five years to present, he was employed with D & M Roofing in Pomona. Daniel was very creative and an expert builder. He also liked to work in pottery. He enjoyed playing video games, camping at the lake, and water skiing. His greatest enjoyment, however, came from spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Susan A. Sunday of Pomona, Kansas; stepfather, Dennis Moulthrop of Pomona; father, Gary Lee Sunday, Jr., of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Billy Sunday of Pomona, Cory Sunday of Pomona; sister, Shannan Sunday of Pomona; half-brother, Josh Sunday of Kansas City, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Gayle and Gary Lee Sunday, Sr., of Leavenworth, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Mary and Jack Moulthrop of Louisburg, Kansas; paternal great-grandmother, Virgie McGaughy of Waco, Texas; and, several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Avis and Bernard Parrott. SERVICES: Family and friends will meet at Dengel & Son Mortuary at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004, and process to Oak Hill Cemetery for 2:00 p.m. graveside services. CEMETERY: Oak Hill Cemetery, Quenemo, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to Daniel Sunday Space Camp Scholarship Fund, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
