Dale Reynolds age 85 of Lampe MO. formally of Osawatomie, KS, passed away Friday March 14 2008. Funeral Service is on Monday March 17 at 10:30 AM at the Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel. Visitation is on Sunday from 6 to 8PM at the chapel and burial will be in the Osawatomie Cemetery. Dale was born May 21, 1922 in Osawatomie Kansas to Arthur and Mildred Wilkerson Reynolds. On October 28, 1940 he was inducted in the United States Army where he received the Purple Heart and 5 Battle Stars from tours in Normandy, Holland, Luxemburg, Germany, Andennes. He was in the 2nd Battalion, #127 field artillery, 35th Inf Division and 2nd in charge of Gunmen crew. He was wounded on March 7, 1945. He served our country from June of 1940 until June of 1946. He was united in marriage to Gloria Haemmerle on September 13, 1966 in Harrisonville, Missouri. After serving in the US Army, Dale was a carpenter for most of his life. Preceding him in death are his parents. His wife of 38 years, Gloria and sons Arthur D. Reynolds and Johnnie H Reynolds. A step son Richard Haemmerle. He is survived by his daughters Linda Vonghan, Lois Koon, Nancy Reynolds, Martha Wenger, Loretta Rayl and Gail Stanley. One son Kevin Reynolds. Step children Carolyn Greer, David and Glena.Two sisters, Helen Melin and Evelyn Vess. He is also survived by many grand and great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
