Cynthia "Cindy" M. Guyett

Cynthia Marie “Cindy” Guyett, 56, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Highland Cemetery. Family will meet with friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Cindy was born Tuesday, November 17, 1959, in Ottawa, the daughter of Paul and Joyce (Dodds) Jones. She was a lifelong Ottawa resident. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1977. Cindy was united in marriage to Michael H. ‘Mike’ Guyett January 12, 1980, in Ottawa. He survives of their home. Other survivors include her parents, Paul and Joyce Jones of Kincaid, Kansas; four children, Jolene LaMar and husband Kyle of Ottawa, Jacob Guyett and wife Kendra of Princeton, Jared Guyett of Ottawa, and Joshua Guyett also of Ottawa; siblings, Teresa Bartak and husband Paul of Overland Park, Casey Jones and wife Cathy of Princeton, Justin Jones and wife Christie of Ottawa, and Sandy Connor of Topeka; and eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, David Jones; and sister, Melissa Davis. Cindy was a devoted homemaker. She loved her family and the times they spent together at family gatherings.
