Clinton G. Jordan, 84, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away at his home Tuesday, August 30, 2016, with his family by his side. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Thursday, September 1, 2016, at the Church of Christ, 1207 W. 15th, Ottawa. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Highland Cemetery. Clinton was born Monday, March 14, 1932, in Paden, Oklahoma, the son of Clinton L. and Hannah L. (Coleman) Jordan. He lived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma from 1952 to 1955; Sapulpa, Oklahoma from 1955 to 1962; and El Reno, Oklahoma from 1962 to 1966, before moving in 1966 to Ottawa, where he made his home until his death. He attended schools in Gypsy, Oklahoma, graduating with the class of 1950. He continued his education at Oklahoma A&M Junior College from 1953 to 1955. Clinton was united in marriage with Pearl Irene Dugan September 4, 1952, in Coolidge, Arizona. She survives of their home. Other survivors include his three sons, Gary M. Jordan and wife Kimberly (Burik) of Tampa, Florida, Shawn A. Jordan and wife Marilyn (Sprowls) of Olathe, and Lyndon B. Jordan and wife Maria (Nunez) of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Brandon Jordan, Amy (Jordan) Nowacek, Ashley Capps, and Christian Jordan; five great grandchildren, Zoey, Quin, Jax, Mila, and Caroline; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Ida Mae Jordan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Hannah Jordan; three brothers, Wilburn Jordan and wife Lucille, Leonard Jordan and Clinton Lester Jordan; and three sisters, Audrey Bennett and husband Ewell, Laveda Bowles and husband Floyd and Rubye Barkley and husband Ray. Clinton served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1953 to 1956. He was employed as a manager for Otasco from 1955 until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the15th Street Church of Christ in Ottawa. Clinton was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He deeply loved his family and his favorite activities always centered on spending time with them. When Clinton was younger he played the guitar in the band Kinard’s, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and collecting guns.
