Clinton D. Fritts

Clinton D. Clint Fritts, age 56, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. He was born on Sunday, February 20, 1955, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of Rodney and Irma (Cook) Fritts. He was a lifelong Ottawa resident. Clint graduated from Ottawa High School with the class of 1973. The past thirteen years, Clint was employed as a forklift operator and warehouse worker for Wal-Mart Distribution of Ottawa. From the mid 1970’s to the late 1990’s, he was a cabinet builder, working for Ottawa Millworks and Midwest Cabinets of Ottawa, and Crestwood Cabinets of Salina, Kansas. He was a member of North Baptist Church of Ottawa. In 1977, Clint was united in marriage with Debbie Wadkins in Ottawa. They were later divorced. He is survived by his: Parents-Rodney and Irma Fritts of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter-Jennifer Fritts of Kansas City, Kansas; Daughter-Megan Fritts of Gardner, Kansas; Son-Clinton Fritts, Jr. of Solomon, Kansas; Brother-Jeffrey Lee Fitts of Ottawa, Kansas; Grandchildren-Six and many Nieces & Nephews. He is preceded in death by his: Infant Sister-Anna Marie Fritts and Infant Brother-Rodney Wayne Fritts. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2011. The family requests that funeral attendees dress casual. IN STATE: Mr. Fritts will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, where the family will meet with friends at 1:00 p.m. on Monday prior to services. CEMETERY: Stony Point Cemetery north of Baldwin in Douglas County, Kansas.
