Clarence Walter Koch, age 85, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Ottawa Retirement Village in Ottawa, Kansas. He was born on Sunday, November 14, 1926, in Homewood, Kansas, the son of John and Ethel (Dickerson) Koch. He was a lifelong Franklin County, Kansas resident. Clarence attended Ottawa schools and graduated from Williamsburg High School in Williamsburg, Kansas. He was self-employed delivering the Kansas City Star newspaper since 1984, and owned and operated Action TV in Ottawa. He enjoyed collecting all kinds of antiques. On Sunday, January 15, 1950, Clarence was united in marriage with Betty Louise Gorton in Emporia, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 19, 2005. He is survived by his: Son – Oren A. Koch of Ottawa, Kansas; Son – Luther S. Koch of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter – Katherine K. Hill and her husband, Will, of Pomona, Kansas; Daughter – Marilyn S. Gragg and her husband, Dennis, of Ottawa, Kansas; Daughter – Carol J. Koch of Ottawa, Kansas; Grandchildren – Nine and Great-Grandchildren – Nineteen. He is preceded in death by his: Parents – John and Ethel Koch; Wife – Betty Louise Koch; Brother – Warren C. Koch; Brother – A. Ralph Koch; Brother – Kenneth K. Koch; Granddaughter – Miranda Leadbetter and Granddaughter – Kimberly Gragg. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012. IN STATE: Mr. Koch will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 5:00 to 9:00 Friday evening. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery in Ottawa, Kansas.
