Clarence “JR” Franklin Webb Jr, 56, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on 0ctober 13, 2021 at Overland Park Regional Hospital. JR was born in Martinsville, Virginia on May 11, 1965 to Clarence Sr. and Mary Webb. He spent the last 16 years with his life partner, Alvin Thoden, who was the love of his life. JR was a graduate of North Hardin High School, Radcliff Kentucky. He was a past resident of Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia and Maryland before settling down in Topeka, and then Overland Park, Kansas. JR enjoyed his work as a manicurist, server, and as a Medical Assistant at Rupp Urology in Topeka, KS. He was an avid gardener, a Cat dad to many adopted “babies” including his precious “Huck” who was his kindred spirit. JR enjoyed attending many musical theatre events with his partner, Alvin, and loved vacationing with his two sisters, Loretta Goodson and Rebecca Schuck and their families. JR was the life of the party and lit up every room that he walked into. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality. He loved his family. He especially loved his nieces and nephew and his many cats. He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Webb Sr and Mary Webb. JR is survived by his partner, Alvin Thoden, his sisters, Loretta (Glen) Goodson and Rebecca (Phillip) Schuck, his nieces, Audrey (Hasa) Kingo, Amber (Greg) Knight, Annalee Schuck and nephew Travis Schuck, his sister in law, Brandi (Scott) Winkler, sister in law, Heidi Thoden (Wes Derosier) and Alvin’s dad, Leslie Thoden. A memorial service will be held on October 24, 2021, 2 pm at Dengel & Son Mortuary – Crematory Paola Chapel, 305 N Pearl St, Paola KS. Inurnment will be immediately following at Debrick Cemetery, rural Paola KS. Guests are invited to share a meal with JR’s family at Trinity Lutheran Church, 34868 Block Road, Paola KS, following the inurnment service. The family suggests memorial contributions to KC Pet Project c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary-Crematory, 305 North Pearl Street, Paola, KS 66071.
