It saddens family to announce that on Friday, June 7, 2019, Christina Nicole Elsasser, wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away at the age of 38 years old. Celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Christina was born December 11, 1980, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of John Knox and Ronda (Cantrell) Morris. Chrissy was an outstanding student and graduated with honors. She lived twelve years in Garnett, Kansas moving in 2015 to Ottawa. Christina was united in marriage to Kevin Elsasser June 14, 2002, in Kansas City, Kansas. She will be forever remembered in the hearts of those who survive her including her husband, Kevin; four daughters, Olivia Summer Elsasser, Liley Madison Elsasser, Kyndal Sophia Elsasser, and Ava Rayne Elsasser all of the home; mother, Ronda Morris and husband Blaze of Lane; father, John Knox of Ottawa; two sisters, Erica Knox-Christensen and husband Eddie of Ottawa, and Regan Scheckel of Lane; maternal grandmother, Dee Laughter of Blue Mound; paternal grandmother, Nancy Knox of Conway, Pennsylvania; nieces, Brodi, Gracie, Amelia, Charolette and Sophia; nephews, Noah, Ben and Liam; and cousins, extended families and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Raphael; grandfather, Olen Cantrell; and aunt, Debi Cantrell. Christina worked as a full-time mom, wife, caretaker and homemaker. Christina and her family recently moved to Ottawa where they bought their first home. Christina’s family and friends were her passion! She was artistic, a master cook and baker, sewer, and fixer and planner of all things. She had a pleasant nature and never failed to hit you with her witty charm. Christina was often found in the spring tending to her gardens or reading in her spare time. She enjoyed playing the piano and was very musically inclined from a young age. Christina had a wonderful sense of humor and never failed to make you laugh. She was dedicated, dependable and compassionate to all who loved her. She was a woman of many talents that lived towards one goal, “family” and took great pride in her home life and never failed to show everyone a good time. Christina was a loving woman with a contagious smile to anyone she encountered. She will be missed dearly.
