Christina Lynn McIntosh, 56, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away at her home Tuesday, January 25, 2022. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, February 4, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Inurnment Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, at a later date. Christina was born January 27, 1965, in Garnett, Kansas, the daughter of George E. and Nola M. (Crone) McIntosh, Jr. She grew up in Ottawa, moving in 1985 to Topeka, Kansas, and in 2010 returned to Ottawa where she made her home until her death. She graduated from Ottawa High School with the Class of 1983 and continued her education at Ottawa University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. In 1984, Christina was united in marriage to John Manske and later divorced. In 1997, Christina married Robert Earwood and later divorced. Christina was employed in various positions throughout her career including a probation officer in Shawnee County; social worker with the Topeka Correctional Facility for Women; case manager with Let’s Help in Shawnee County; substitute teacher with the Seaman School District Topeka USD 345; care worker with COF Adult Services; and substitute teacher with Ottawa USD 290. Christina loved hanging out with her family and friends, helping others and always had treats for the neighborhood kids. She loved animals, being outdoors, was very artistic, and enjoyed ceramics. She was preceded in death by her father George E. McIntosh, Jr. and stepfather, Richard Paul Moore. Survivors include her three children, Jessica Marston (Shane) of Basehor, KS, Jordan McIntosh-Earwood of Topeka, KS, and Zachery McIntosh-Earwood also of Topeka; mother Nola Moore of Ottawa; fiancé Jim Mauszycki of Ottawa; two sisters, Susan McIntosh (Huston Thornton) of Pomona, KS and Gloria Anderson (Phil) of Topeka; granddaughter Aubrey Marston of Basehor; and nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. The family suggests memorial contributions to Prairie Paws Animal Shelter c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
