Christina F. Katzer

Christina F. Katzer, 91, of Louisburg, KS passed away November 2, 2010. Christina was born October 7, 1919 in Hickman Mills, MO, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Kretzmeyer) Gassen. She was united in marriage to Bernard C. Katzer on October 11, 1937 in Richmond, KS. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Louisburg. Christina was a very devoted mother and always made sure that her family had her delicious homemade pie when they visited. A special thanks to Kansas City Hospice, her nurse Kim, Dr. Maliszewski, Margaret and Mellisa for their great care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Katzer in 1995, her parents and 1 son, Roger L. Katzer, great granddaughter Frankie Jo,and twelve siblings Survivors include 2 sons, Ivan Katzer and wife Carol; Ron Katzer and wife Crystal; 1 daughter, Donna Effertz and husband Mick; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Louisburg, Ks. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
