Chett Posey

Chett Daniel Posey age 86 passed away March 29th in Silver City New Mexico. He was born on February 6, 1922 in Independence Kansas to Chett Daniel and Callie Mae Murphy Posey. He was united in marriage to Mary L. Douglass on October 22, 1953 in Bartlesville. Oklahoma. Chett and Mary owned and managed the Tastee Freez in Osawatomie for 22 years. After spending 30 years in Osawatomie they lived in Lathrop MO. for a year before moving to Silver City, MN in 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, Sister Jackie Bible, and Brother Dwight Posey. Survivors are his children, son Rodney Posey of Warsaw, MO., daughter, Marsha Bowman of Silver City, NM., son Chett Posey Jr. of Sugar Creek, MO. Daughter, Vickie Kenady and Linda Heard both of Plattsburg, MO. 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two brothers Ronnie Posey of Independence KS., and Gary Posey of Wichita KS., and several nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
