Cheryl Rae Ward

Cheryl Rae Ward of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at her home.

Family will greet friends from 5:30-7:30pm, Friday, May 3, 2024 at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kansas.

A Celebration of Life, Cruise Ottawa, is planned 1:00-3:00pm, Sunday, May 5, 2024, starting at the Forest Park main shelter house, Ottawa, Kansas. Friends are invited to cruise and come share memories and tributes with family and friends…. weather permitting.

Cheryl was born, Wednesday, December 27, 1950. She was a life long Ottawa resident graduating from Ottawa High School with the class of 1969.

Cheryl was united in marriage to Roger Ward in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives of the home. She owned and operated The Clean Sweep since the 1980s until current.

Cheryl was a former member of the Over the Road Gang and enjoyed building numerous cars with Roger and friends and attending the car shows. She also enjoyed spending time with family and being mom, grandma, and great grandma.

Along with her husband Roger, survivors include daughter Angela Adams-Spears of Ottawa, Kansas; son Billy Joe Adams, Jr. of Ottawa, Kansas; sisters Linda DeCock, Marilyn Anderson, Terri Moody, and Patricia Yeager; six grandchildren Bailey Thonsbury, Griffin Loder, Dyln Adams, Bella Adams, Treet Ward, and Abbi Ward; and nine great grandchildren.
