Cheri Lynn Campbell, 61, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Baldwin Healthcare Center, Baldwin City, Kansas. A celebration of Cheri’s life will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Ottawa University Fredrikson Chapel, Ottawa, Kansas. Family will meet with friends from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M., Friday, March 4, 2022, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Cheri was born August 3, 1960, at Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Kenneth and Bonnie (Cox) Randel. She was a long-time resident of Ottawa, also living in Phoenix, Arizona for several years. Cheri graduated from Olathe High School with the class of 1979. She was united in marriage with Anthony B. Campbell June 4, 1983, at Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2015. Cheri was a children’s daycare provider in her home for many years. She spent the remaining working years in restaurant management at Burger King in Ottawa and McDonald’s in Phoenix, Arizona. She was member of the Town & Country Church of Christ in Ottawa. Cheri was a mother and grandmother to many and known as a great caregiver to all. She loved to listen to rock & roll music and enjoyed reading Steven King novels. Cheri especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, both biological and adopted, and all the family dogs. Cheri was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony (Tony) Campbell and father, Kenneth Randel. Survivors include her mother, Bonnie Randel of Ottawa; children, Kenny Campbell (Jessica) of Ottawa, Kansas; A. J. Campbell of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Graci Campbell and Bailey Campbell both of Ottawa, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Baldwin Healthcare & Rehabilitation c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
