Charles Thomas 'Tom' Rogers was born Friday, June 18, 1948, at Lawrence, Kansas. He was the son of Warren Keith and Bertha Marie (Jones) Rogers. Tom lived in Lawrence, Kansas, from 1948 until 1953; McLouth, Kansas, from 1953 until 1971; Lonoke, Arkansas, from 1971 until 1985; and Williamsburg, Kansas, from 1985 until 1992. In 1992, Tom moved to Pomona, in Franklin County, Kansas, where he made his home, until his death Monday, June 13, 2005, at the age of fifty-six years. Tom graduated from McLouth High School in McLouth, Kansas with the class of 1966. He attended Kansas University, Vanderbilt University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina, majoring in Industrial Art. He worked four years as a Senior Designer for Global Ground Support, retiring on January 1, 2005. Tom served during the Viet Nam War from September 23, 1966, until September 22, 1970, in the United States Air Force, attaining the rank of E-4. Tom was a Notary Public and a member of Friends of the Library in Ottawa. He was a music enthusiast, and especially enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to live Blues music. A man blessed with the ability to define new ideas, Tom's powerful imagination greatly benefited him in his career in Industrial and Computer Art. On February 12, 1999, Tom was united in marriage with Andrea Faith Ames at Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home. He is also survived by two sons, Sean R. Rogers and his wife, Jamie, of Bentonville, Arkansas, W. Scott Rogers and his wife, Disha, of Anderson, Missouri; two stepsons, Mitchell Scott of Parkville, Missouri, Michael Brown of the home; stepdaughter, Michelle Dodds and her husband, David, of Falls Church, Virginia; two sisters, Carol Whitebread, Teresa Gregory and her husband, Victor; brother, Bill Rogers and his wife, Darlene, of Lawrence, Kansas; and five grandchildren. Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Warren K. and Elyda Rogers; and maternal grandparents, Harry S. and Maude K. Jones. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mr. Rogers at the Dengel & Son Mortuary from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends Thursday evening following services. His casket will remain closed. CEMETERY: Elmo Cemetery in Elmo, Missouri. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorials to St. Jude`s Hospital Cancer Department c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S.
