Charles J. “Chuck” Stewart, 49, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at his home in Wellsville, Kansas. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Inurnment Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kansas. Chuck was born Tuesday, November 24, 1964 in Fountain, Colorado, the son of Earl and Shirley (Hawkins) Stewart. He lived most of his life in Kansas. While serving in the military he resided in Germany and lived in various locations throughout the United States and abroad before moving to Ottawa, Kansas in 1996. He graduated from Ottawa High School. Survivors include his mother, Shirley Stewart of Richmond; three children, Linda, Kimberly and Deanna Stewart of Germany; siblings, Deb Jenkins and husband Mark of Waverly, Craig Stewart and wife Kay of Charleston, Arkansas, and Christopher Stewart and wife Amy of Richmond; granddaughter, Ashley Stewart; grandmother, Tillie Hawkins of Garnett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Stewart. He worked for Integrity Financial, as a bill collector, for ten years. Chuck served in the United States Army during Desert Storm attaining the rank of sergeant.
