Charles H. Chuck Graybill, age 80, of Princeton, Kansas, died Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was born on Monday, May 26, 1930, in Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of Henry A. and Nannie M. (Huffman) Graybill. He lived in Princeton the past thirty years, moving from Prairie Village, Kansas. He was born and raised in Ohio, living in many other states. He was a truck driver most of his life from the 1950’s, retiring in 2008. Chuck served in the United States Army in the late 1940’s. He was a member of OOIDA (Owner Operator Independent Driver’s Association); NRA (National Rifle Association); and SATERN (Salvation Army Team Emergency Radio Network), actively participating many years. On Thursday, September 30, 1948, Chuck was united in marriage with Betty Spence in McDonough, Georgia. She survives of their home. He is survived by his: Wife-Betty Graybill of the home; Daughter-Darlene Jones and her husband, Mason, of Princeton, Kansas; Daughter-Donna “Brandy” Graybill and her husband, Steven Iwersen, of Shawnee, Kansas; Sister-Alice Huffman of Saint Paris, Ohio; Sister-Olive Tatum of Lakeland, Florida; Sister-Martha Francis and her husband, John, of Greenville, Ohio; Sister-Ella Cook and her husband, Melvin, of Eldorado, Ohio; Sister-Lois VanAusdal and her husband, Rodger, of Hillsboro, Ohio; Grandchildren (4)-Mason Jones, III, Charles Jones, Donna Jones, Keely Long and Eight - Gt. Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his: Parents-Henry A. and Nannie M. Graybill; Daughter-Charlene Fay Graybill; Son-Charles H. Graybill, Jr.; Sister-Shirley Wrightsman and Brother-Carl Graybill. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011. IN STATE: Mr. Graybill will lie in state at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday to the service hour, where the family will meet with friends from 7:00 to 8:00 Wednesday evening. CEMETERY: Princeton Cemetery in Princeton, Kansas. MEMORIALS: The family suggests memorial contributions to Salvation Army, c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa, Kansas 66067.
