Charles Clark Caldwell, age 88, of Cleveland, MO, passed away on December 18, 2009, in Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, at the Louisburg United Methodist Church, 249 N. Metcalf, Louisburg, KS 66053, with burial to follow in the Louisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, at the church. Clark was born on June 15, 1921, in West Line, MO, to Charles Roy and Dovie D. Ellis Caldwell. He served in the United States Army during WWII. On March 13, 1949, Clark was united in marriage to Luella Mae Hornbuckle in Louisburg. From this union, two children were born: Darrel and Diana. Clark was a farmer and they lived on the same farmstead over 57 years. Clark was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Luella, and his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Moran of Kansas City, MO; his son, Darrel Caldwell and wife Veronica of Madison, Al; grandchildren, Patrick Moran of Kansas City, MO, and Tiffany Hasson of St. Louis, MO; sister, Wilma Jones of Lee's Summit, MO; and brother, Erwin Caldwell of Stuart, FL. Clark will be missed by his family and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the Louisburg United Methodist Church.
