Charles Cauthon

Charles L. Cauthon, age 64 of Kansas City MO, passed away at his home July 5th. Charles was born in Kansas City, Kansas on Oct. 24, 1945 to Gus and Laura Shields Cauthon. He attended high school in Wichita and enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 and served during the Vietnam War and was given an honorable discharge in 1966. Charles lived in Harrisonville MO, after the war and resided in Paola where he was a house and barn painter for many years. He also lived in Wichita and resided in Kansas City, MO where he worked for an upholstery shop for over 8 years. He enjoyed working with his hands. His hobbies were horseshoes, playing pool, get-togethers with family barbeques, spending time with his family and grandchildren, westerns, watching baseball and football games, and restoring his own furniture. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Tom, Gus, and baby infant, and one granddaughter Laura Eccles. Survivors are his daughters, Chris Crawford of Halfway, MO, Cynthia Cahalon of Weubleau, MO, Charola Cauthon of Warsaw, MO; three sons, Kenneth Snell of Adrian, MO, Joe Cauthon of Kansas City, MO, Tony Cauthon of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Della Cauthon; three brothers, Joe, Henry and James Cauthon; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
