Cecile Catherine (Altic) Anderson was born on Tuesday, May 26, 1914, in Franklin County, Kansas. She was the daughter of William Penn and Sadie Jane (Wray) Altic. She was a lifelong resident of the Pomona and Appanoose area and made her home in rural Pomona, Franklin County, Kansas, until her death on Thursday, June 22, 2006, at the age of ninety-two years. Cecile graduated from Appanoose High School with the class of 1936. She later attended Business School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens, canning and cooking, and helping her husband with their farm. She loved their family gatherings and immensely enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing Bingo. For twenty years, Cecile worked as a seamstress for Mode O'Day in Ottawa, retiring in 1976. In 1939, Cecile was united in marriage with William
