C.E. ‘Bud’ Fowler, Jr., 80, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Richmond Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Family will meet with friends from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Dengel & Son Mortuary. Private inurnment Woodlawn Cemetery in Pomona, Kansas. Bud was born on Thursday, September 12, 1935, in Madison, Missouri, the son of Clarence E. and Bessie T. (Latham) Fowler. He has been a resident of Ottawa since the mid 1980s, moving from Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from Appanoose Grade School in Franklin County, Kansas, and graduated from Lyndon High School in Lyndon, Kansas, with the class of 1953. Bud served in the Army National Guard from 1954 until 1962 in Ottawa, and later from 1977 to 1978 in Casper, attaining the rank of E-5. Bud was united in marriage with Delores Steele June 19, 1955, in Ottawa, Kansas. They were later divorced. He married Linda S. Toumberlin January 2, 1981, in Ottawa, Kansas. She survives of their home. Other survivors include his daughter, Nancy L. Pace of Casper, Wyoming; son, Tony L. Fowler of Saratoga Springs, Utah; stepdaughter, Cassie Webb of Mandan, North Dakota; stepson, David Burgoon of Auburn, Kansas; sisters, Rheva K. Dean of Casper, Wyoming and Wanda J. Hamby of Licking, Missouri; brother, Ron D. Fowler of Iola, Kansas; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bessie Fowler; and brother, Howard Fowler. He worked forty-five years as a printer, including many years at Ramsey Printing, and then part-time at the Homewood Rest Area on Hwy I-35. He was a Weblo Scout leader and a member of the Jaycees, Elks, Eagles and Methodist Church in Ottawa and the Nazarene Church in Casper, Wyoming.
