Carolee J. Wright

She was a longtime resident of Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas. Carol attended schools in Franklin County with the class of 1943. She continued her education with accounting and photography courses. For over eight years, she worked as an accountant for Mike Mulcahey Buick Co. and Nuzman Lumber, both of Ottawa, for many years, where she became assistant manager. She worked with her husband in the photography business until he retired and then worked for Hasty Awards ten years, retiring in January of 2007. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa; Union Chapter #15, Order of the Eastern Star; Business and Professional Women, where she was once named 'Woman of the Year'; former member of Soroptimist International and Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. On January 31, 1972, Carol was united in marriage with William H. 'Bill' Wright in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 21, 2006. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held from Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2007. IN STATE: Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Wright at the Dengel & Son Mortuary after 1:00 p.m. Tuesday to the service hour. CEMETERY: Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kansas.
