Carol Ann Brittingham, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 16, 2024, at AdventHealth of Ottawa in Ottawa, Kansas. Born on December 20, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was the cherished daughter of Roy and Winifred (Bray) Reneau. Carol graduated from Ottawa High School in 1962, marking the beginning of a life rich with love and dedication to her family.

Throughout her life, Carol was a devoted homemaker whose heart was poured into every corner of her home. She worked as a seamstress for H.D. Lee Manufacturing from the late 1960s to the 1970s.

She was blissfully united in marriage on June 1, 1962 in Ottawa, Kansas to Ivan Troy Brittingham, Jr. He survives of the home.

Carol's passions extended beyond her work. She found joy in gardening and yardwork, cultivating a serene environment that reflected her nurturing spirit. Family was at the center of her world, and she dedicated her time to creating lasting memories, filled with laughter and love.

She is survived by her loving husband, Troy; their son, Kenneth Brittingham (Stephanie) of Wood Heights, Missouri; and six grandchildren who adored her: Joshua Zeigler (Angie) of Emporia, Kansas, Meggan Zeigler of Emporia, Kansas, Larrin Zeigler of Kansas City, Kansas, Tylor Brittingham of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, Austin Brittingham (Kristin) of Lawson, Missouri, and Emilee Marley (Austin) of Wood Heights, Missouri, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. Moreover, she was a proud grandmother to four great-grandchildren: Troy, Eleanor, Chloe, and Clair. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she cherished all the moments spent together.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Winifred; her brother, Max Reneau; her sister, Maxine Reneau; her beloved daughter, Barbara Zeigler and son-in-law Larry Zeigler. The legacy of love she cultivated throughout her life will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
