Carol Ann Bailey Carol Ann Bailey"s courageous twelve year battle with cancer came to an end on September 17, 2008. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 10, 1949 to Charles Herald "Swede" Spargur and Alma Elizabeth Johnson Spargur. Carol grew up in Falls City, Nebraska and graduated from Falls City High School in 1968. She went on to the workforce following graduation. Carol married the love of her life, Robert E. Bailey, on February 15, 1970. After living in Olathe and Overland Park for several years, she and Bob eventually moved to Louisburg in 1980. Carol was an energetic, hard working, loving, and caring woman. She had a contagious smile and welcoming personality. She enjoyed bird watching, flower and vegetable gardening, knitting and cross stitching, working out in her yard, and fishing. Carol was a proud mother of four children, and supported them in all that they did. She was especially proud knowing that she was able to be part of her children"s lives as they graduated college and started families of their own. Later on in life her compassion spread further in the family to her seven grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed sitting at her kitchen window with her grandchildren watching the birds. Seeing her grandchildren"s excitement for the birds gave her great happiness. Surviving are husband, Robert E.
