Carl Phillip Handy, Jr.

Phil has lived in the Pomona, Kansas area for the last thirteen years. He grew up and lived most of his life in the Garnett, Kansas area. In the mid 1960`s, he lived in Kansas City, Missouri for five years. Phil graduated from Garnett High School with the class of 1963. Phil was currently employed with Air Technologies, Inc. of Ottawa, working as Facilities Manager for the last seventeen years. From 1971 to 1988, he was employed with Commodore Homes of Ottawa. In the mid 1960`s, he was employed with Auto Parts and Color and, later, Automotive Distribution, Inc., both of Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. On October 18, 1991, Phil was united in marriage with Deb (Cope) Cargo at Lawrence, Kansas. She survives of their home. He was previously married to Alice Lutz on February 9, 1964. They later divorced. SERVICES: Memorial services will be held from the Dengel & Son Mortuary 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2005. OFFICIANT: Lyle Kee IN STATE: Mr. Handy has been cremated.
