Bryan Wayne Briggs

Bryan Wayne Briggs, age 58, of Cleveland, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri.

Lying in state will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Friday, May 3, 2024, at Dengel & Son Mortuary - Louisburg Chapel, 1 Aquatic Drive, Louisburg, Kansas 66053.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Aubry Cemetery, Stilwell, Kansas.

Bryan was born on July 17, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the son of Melvin L. Briggs and Norma J. (Eisele). Bryan grew up in Stilwell, Kansas, and attended Stilwell Elementary School. He graduated from Blue Valley High School with the class of 1983.

After high school, he began working for his father at Briggs Sod Farm. After his father retired, he joined Briggs Brothers Sod Farm in Stilwell. Bryan enjoyed being out on the farm. He would often spend his weekends at The Lake of the Ozarks. Bryan was the proud father of one daughter, April.

He enjoyed playing poker and shopping online auctions, most of the time buying gifts for family members or friends.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Briggs.

He is survived by one daughter, April Briggs, of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jayson, Kymani, Zaria, Edward, and Ellis; mother, Norma Ross, of Stilwell, Kansas; brothers, Steven Briggs, of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Mark Briggs, of La Cygne, Kansas; one sister, Leann Briggs, of Stilwell, Kansas; and nieces and nephews, Lane Briggs, of Grants Pass, Oregon, Chance, Reed, Max and Josie Briggs, of La Cygne, Kansas, and Lillian Lewis, of Stilwell, Kansas.
