Brenda Annette Mills, 55, of Overland Park, Kansas died August 21, 2018, peacefully in her home. Brenda was the first child of Ralph and Carol Mills, born October 11, 1962 in Independence, Kansas. The family moved to Louisburg, Kansas in 1977. Brenda graduated in 1980 from Louisburg High School. She continued her education at The University of Kansas earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1985. Brenda continued her education and earned a master’s in business administration in 1996. She became a Certified Project Manager in 2002. Brenda was an independent, determined, strong, beautiful, and extremely smart women. (The Smarties may have helped her out on that). She built a beautiful life for herself. She was passionate about her work. All of the latest and greatest, even hardest projects are the ones she strived for. Brenda has always been there for everyone. She stepped up in the hardest situations, looked them in the eye, and defeated them with such power and grace. Brenda was a cultured woman. You would see her anywhere from the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts to Knucklehead’s Saloon. She loved to travel with her friends, especially to the beach, no matter where it may be. Brenda was an incredible woman and will be greatly missed. Brenda is survived by her sister Carrie Mills of Lawrence, Kansas; nieces and nephews Jessica Page of Olathe, Kansas, Torey Page of Lawrence, Kansas, Logan Mills of Louisburg, Kansas, Joshua and Taylor Mills Fischer of Louisburg, Kansas, James Page of Lenexa, Kansas, Sam Page of Lenexa, Kansas, and Haley Mills of Kansas City, Missouri. Brenda is also survived by her great niece and greatest joy, Isabell Ann. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Louisburg First Christian Church 602 N. 1st Street Louisburg, KS. Funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church. A celebration of life will be held at the Timbercreek Event Center in Louisburg, following the service.
