Bonnie Smith

Bonnie Nell Smith, age 75, of Ottawa, Kansas, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Village Manor Nursing Home in Ottawa, Kansas. She was born on Friday, May 24, 1935, in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of Milo Franklin Cain and Minnie May (Fultz) Cain. She has been a resident of Ottawa since 1981, moving from Wichita, Kansas. She worked in home health care, recently retiring. She also worked as a unit clerk in Wesley Hospital in Wichita. Bonnie served in the United States Marine Corps. She was united in marriage with Jerry Phin Smith. They were later divorced. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Daughter-Charlene Marie Latta of Pennsylvania Daughter-Carolyn Jean Lee of Virginia Daughter-J. Christine Smith of St. Clair, Missouri Sister-Cynthia Howe of Wisconsin Brother-Charles Clarence Cain of Monet, Virginia Brother-Robert Dale Cain of Westminster, Colorado Grandchild-Lauren Latta Grandchild-Adela Generally Grandchild-Jeremy Generally Grandchild-Patrick Generally Dear Niece-Nancy Cain Special Friend-Dorothy Rues of Ottawa. Cain Sister-Faye Cole SERVICES: Graveside Memorial Services will be held at the Belle Plaine Cemetery in Sumner County, Belle Plaine, Kansas, at 12:00 noon on Friday, December 31, 2010.
