Bonnie J. Gress, 85, of Paola, passed peacefully March 20, 2016 at the Olathe Hospice House. She was born July 25, 1930 in Ketchum, Oklahoma to Luther and Mollie Howard. She married Ted Gress in Bentonville, Arkansas on October 1, 1949. They lived in Miami, OK, Illinois and Missouri before moving to Paola in 1953, where they raised their four children. In the years living in Paola, Bonnie worked at Smith and Co. and later at Pro-Fit Caps. Her hobbies included quilting, baking, reading, crossword puzzles and playing bingo. Her family always came first and she loved to spend time with her friends and neighbors. She also enjoyed the many friendships she made with the North Point staff and residents. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ted in 2001; her brother Bill and sister Virginia. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Butel of Paola, Lori (Mike) Trickett of Katy, TX, Kelli (Paul) Noll of Paola and a son, Steve Gress of Paola; two sisters, Frances Stanley of Miami, OK and Nell Clevenger of Saginaw, MI; six grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Butel, Jamie (Dan) Hastings, Amanda (Dave) Reimal, Monica (Chris) Way, Charles (Brooke) Trickett and Marissa Trickett; and six great grandchildren.
